This is another Original song from me. As it is a love song, I uploaded it to youtube just before Valentines day. I noticed a lot of love orientated videos being put up in the lead up to Valentines day, so I thought I'd chip in.
My next song was another cover version. Last year, a few people requested that I sing a song by a band called "The fray". I finally managed to get around to doing one a short while back, because of the large number of requests I already had lined up. I ended up going for a song of theirs called "How to save a life". If you watch Gray's Anatomy at all, you may well be familiar with this song.
On to video fifty five. This is undoubtedly one of the best songs that REM ever produced, and is fantastic to sing. I can't remember how many times I've sung this song, but it's quite a lot. It is of course "Everybody hurts". A song that is vocally challenging.
This song was recorded before all the other originals I've put up on Youtube. It was recorded about 4 years ago. It was recorded in a studio in West Worthing.
Now for another original. The title of this one is "So blue". I wrote this one a couple of years ago. The idea was to try and start with one style. Then change the style part way through the song. It all matched up quite nicely with the lyrics. The first part of the song deals with someone putting a happy face on. The second part deals with what is really going on in their mind.
Here's another song that I have sung a number of times, and it's quite popular among my friends. It's probably one of the most well known David Gray songs. It's title is "This year's love".
I skipped a couple of videos, because I thought that they weren't relevant. As this is posted in March and the first one was a Christmas song, I don't think it's the right time of year. The second was was a thank you video, to all the people that left comments for me.
I've tried out so many different Billy Joel songs, and this is one of his songs that I like an awful lot. It just feels good to sing. The song is "Honesty".
I also talk a little about one of my rarest vinyl discs :)
This is an all round great song. Check out my rendition.
The movement of my total video viewings were impressing me in their consistency. So I thought I'd look into where those views were being counted. Some videos got more viewings that others, but the surprising thing was that all videos were being viewed regularly. So the rise in numbers is across the board.
These are the current figures.
There are 452 Channel Subscriptions.
Channel viewings are up to 10,768.
Total video views are now 130,056.
Another cover next. This is one of those songs, where I heard the cover version, before the original. Then went out and bought the original. Now I've done my own cover of it :)
Out of all the Coldplay songs, this one has to rate among the very best. One of many great tunes on the album "A rush of blood to the head", and this particular song is called "Warning sign". I didn't have any backing music for this song, so I had to once again pick up my guitar and try to get by with some basic chords :)
Sometime last year, I got a request from a Youtube friend, to have a go at "America" by "Neil Diamond". It took a while to work through the other tunes in my request list, but I finally made it :)
It was time to get my guitar out. I'm not a competent player yet, but I'm working on it. Rhythm play is about the level I'm at, at the moment. So I selected a number that used some simple open chords. The original artists of this song were "Tears for fears". I purchased this on vinyl in 1982, and I think it was the band's first release. A lot of people will also know this song, ans being sung by a man called Gary Jules. He did a cover of it. The tune is "Mad world".
